Very happy with the service provided today. We needed a ceiling fan and ceiling light installed. Kendall arrived promptly within the promised timeframe. Super nice guy. He went straight to work. He was respectful of our home and finished the job with no delay. Thank you. We’ll definitely keep Mainstream in mind for any future projects.

Just had our furnace replaced by Mainstream. I can't say enough about the job they did. Our tech, Josh, went 100% above and beyond on the install, and all the technicians are amazing in their expertise and explanations. All that and at a great price with the option of in-house financing.

I don’t normally do this but am feeling frustrated. We had a hot water leak so we called Mainstream yesterday AM (Friday). They dispatched a technician immediately who was helpful and informative and ended up selling us a new hot water heater. He told us they’d install Saturday (today) which was going to be fine as I am working from home. I got a call from the company saying they could actually come that day (Friday) which was excellent so I said of course. The two plumbers came out and installed the new hot water heater and removed the old but let me know they couldn’t hook it up to the electrical due to our old copper wiring and the fact that it wouldn’t pass inspection. I completely understood this as I know our home is older and want things to be done properly. They were trying to call their office to see if they could dispatch an electrician soon and unfortunately told me that they couldn’t get anyone out until Sunday. This is an inconvenience but I guess not the end of the world, but it is also cold and November and not ideal to not have hot water for a couple days. I wasn’t too frustrated until my husband came home (who is an electrician) and said that they left the copper wiring uncapped/exposed. Granted the breaker is turned off but it’s still not good practice to leave the bear copper wire exposed and had they not turned the breaker off, someone could’ve died from touching the exposed wire. I called Mainstream this morning to see if they could possibly come out sooner. The woman with whom I spoke was very kind so I want to be clear that I am not making a complaint toward her nor the other technicians that came out to the home, but she let me know the electrician could not come out today and that their first call Sunday is an hour away from my home and therefore they won’t be here until later morning/early afternoon which now means missing our plans that we’d already spent $60 on. This has overall been frustrating as it could’ve been avoided on many fronts (noticing the electrical issue prior to installing the new hot water heater, installing the hot water heater on a later date so that they had the appropriate tradespeople readily available and we weren’t without hot water for a couple days because it was a slight leak and we still had hot water, etc) but now we’re left without hot water for a couple days and having to miss our weekend plans on the only day that I have off this weekend. Again, feeling frustrated all around at the experience after initially having been impressed at how quickly they’d serviced us.

Home plumbing repairs can be a nightmare. It can be made worse when you are not sure who to contact and unsure if you can trust their work. I’m here to tell you that Jack Millsap & Mathew Gipson of Mainstream Plumbing removed all doubts. They were professional, courteous, and mindful of everything we said. I was a little unsure at first when I called the 24/7 number in the evening. A live person answered the call and said that they could have someone out to give us an estimate the next day. Since it wasn’t an emergency, we were ok with that. What we didn’t understand is that we would in fact have two visits to our house. The first, Mathew, came out and did a free inspection and quote. He also identified a few other things we should look at in the near future. He didn’t pressure us into anything which was refreshing. I won’t kid you, I did need to sit down when he gave us a price to replace the house main, hose bib shutoff, & install a frost free hose bib. (Over $1500) That said, it was far better than me spending 10-12 hours and 4 or more trips to the local hardware store. After agreeing on a price & work, he had someone scheduled the next day to come out and do the work. Our actual plumber, Jack, arrived ahead of schedule and performed the work to our satisfaction. At first my wife & I wanted all new pipe installed to be copper. Our existing system was 1940’s galvanized. It’s still in great shape. Jack explained to use that dissimilar metals have a higher likelihood of failure. He suggested using an adapter and converting a small portion of our pipe to pex. We went along with his suggestion and it appears to be good. We felt very comfortable inviting both of Mainstream’s employees into our house. In fact, the company sends you text messages with their pictures so you know who’s coming over. That was a nice touch. Here’s to hoping we don’t need another plumbing call soon, but if we do, Jack & Mathew at Mainstream are who I will look for. Thanks Mainstream!

For the past three years, Mainstream has taken care of all of our plumbing problems. They have also provided preventative services to avoid issues down the road. The latest was getting a new hot water heater. Every person that has come into our home is friendly. They treat us like family. From the Initial call to end of service, communication is exceptional. They explain everything in detail. Clean up of after service performed area is exceptional. Highly recommend.
